Star Trek: First Impressions (minor spoilers)

- Movie is fast paced, frenetic, full of energy
- Contains more emotion in the first 12 minutes than previous 4 TNG movies combined
- Movie is full of humor and most of it works (unlike previous Trek movies)
-Kirk is Star Trek: focuses on Kirk's journey from rebellious youth to intergalactic hero
- Canon irrevocably changed- yes, its a reboot!
- Kobiyahsi Maru scene is the funniest in entire movie.
- Not enough scenes with Nero or McCoy
- Scenes between original Spock and Kirk mildly disappointing- not enough emotion
- Movie is epic in scale, unlike the Berman made for TV TNG movies

Looks like there is no going back- I like it!

I agree with most of your points...although I did like all of TNG movies. I didn't hate Nemesis, I was one of its strongest defenders at the old CA. This was a great movie, but I liked Trek more when you had to be a real geek to enjoy it. :)
