What Are You Playing?

Posted by Gentlemen Death on Saturday, December 27, 2008

So, the topic explains it all folks. What are you playing right now? Right now, I just finished the new Call of Duty: World In Flames and it was good. It was nice going back to playing a WWII game after playing other FPS for the last couple of months. One of the things I did not like about the game was that it felt short. After finishing the final chapter and the creditcs came up, I sat there thinking," That's it.....?" And well, it was. Multiplayer is good but of course if anyone else has played CoD4 will know it gets very frustrating at times. Overall I would give it a 8/10

Minecraft, here.  I was playing Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, but a friend got my hooked big time.

Speaking of being late to the party, I'm currently playing a bunch of Saints Row 2, among other things.

I just picked up BF3 and the redone Halo game. Won't be able to play them for a couple of days until I get back from visiting family but the deals for the two were awesome. $35 for Halo and $39 for BF3, brand new, can't get any better.

I keep my standards low, that way im never dissapointed

I had forgotten how dead this forum had gotten.  Apparently my last post in this topic was 32 weeks ago!  Of course when nobody even looks in here, I kind of gave up on it.

I find it somewhat amusing that I was playing Saints Row 2 when I made my last post and now I'm playing Saints Row The Third.  I'm also playing Assassin's Creed Revelations, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Uncharted 3, and Battlefield 3 at the moment.

I just finished the main missions on Saints the third and it was awesome. Some really cool, funny and exciting challenges. There is apparently two different endings to the game, so let me know which one you got. I won't reveal to much but mine involved Mars. Are you enjoying it? I think it's much better then the previous two, graphics, missions, overal playing enviroment.

Probably going to pop in Halo1 here in a little and see if it was worth it...

There are two different choices earlier on as well.  I've stopped partway through Saints Row for the moment because Assassin's Creed got its hooks into me again.  I've spent about 12 hours running around doing random stuff in that game rather than doing the story missions.  I have purchased all the shops, taken over all five Templar dens that are currently available to me, trained five recruits to Master Assassin status, done all five of the Desmond side missions, collected about 40 of the fragments, and finished about half of the faction challenges.  There are nine "sequences" of story missions in that game, and I'm only at the start of the 4th sequence.

I've also been playing a lot of Battlefield 3.  According to my Battlelog, I've put 28 hours into the multiplayer so far.  The game is a lot of fun, and I can't wait for the Karkand maps to get released this month.

I need to get back into BF3. I started playing it when it came out, but then got distracted by MW3 and have been playing the hell out of the multiplayer on that.

I finally got around to playing The Pitt DLC a few weeks ago. It was a pretty interesting storyline and I appreciated that they raised the stakes by temporarily taking away all of my character's equipment. Fortunately, I still had my Light Step and Animal Friend perks or otherwise just crossing the bridge into the city would have been fucking brutal.

Based on the two possible outcomes of this quest, I'd say that it's probably one of the most morally ambiguous sub-plots in Fallout 3. Neither of the two possible paths really made me feel good about my role in the slave uprising, which was kind of a welcome change from the good/bad karma choices you're usually presented with.

Mal introduced me to Escape. I've been playing a good bit of it. It's pretty addictive.

Finally cracked 1000m the other day. I'm on the all-time leader board. This makes me one of the most important people alive.

 I've fallen back into Skyrim.

My girlfriend just got a 360 of her own and a free copy of it so it rekindled my love of walking about and putting arrows into things.

Also with her now having skyrim, red dead redemption, and minecraft I assume i'm technically single again.

I am still playing Battlefield 3, even though Strider has abandoned me :) Need to get back into GTA4 so I can finish it before 5 comes out this fall.

Since Microsoft decided to give away free games to Gold subscribers, I downloaded Defense Grid.

Not bad, tower games are a nice easy way to waste some time without having to think too much.

Continuing the free Xbox Gold games, I downloaded Assassin's Creed II.

So far, it's a damn fun game. Still getting used to the free-running/jumping/climbing thing.

Just got Battlefield 4. Haven't played any of the missions and done some of the multiplayer. Hard getting used to the new vehicle controls.

Currently repeatedly getting my arse handed to me by Deathstroke in Arkham Origins.  Doesn't bode well.  It's only about 20% of the way in!

Been playing the hell out of BF4. Got the commander app on a tablet and it's a fun way to interact wth the game when not being around my Xbox.
