I am wading into my Xmas gift BluRay pile.
Captain America first, then Super 8. Maybe Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes if not sleepy.
Unleash the Merlot!!

I am loving Captain America. It's just kind of perfectly pitched. I have never read the comic, so don't know if the whole USO angle was in the source material.
With our downtime during holiday break, the Boy and I are trying to finish watching the last season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. We also started on the NextGen movies. Unfortunately, the first one (Generations) is an odd-numbered film. By the end Boy was cheering for Kirk to buy it. Good thing #8 is next; we love the Borg.
This thread should not have any posts in it until 2011 is over. That is all.
The 500gb hard drive on which I keep all of my moves, Doctor Who (and spinoffs), and BSG seems to have died. I suddenly have an urge to watch everything on it.
I have all of the other TV shows on an external 1TB drive.
I also have all Doctor Who episodes (except for the new Christmas special, last season of Sarah Jane, and last season of Torchwood) and a number of movies on a NAS for backup.
I live in constant terror of losing the content on my external drives. Adding what I've added to them has been a years-long process and a labor of love.
It is, but that means double my media storage, which, while possible, is a bit problematic. I might get a 2tb drive and back up what I care about to my NAS and what I don't care about can get copied to my external HD.
I mean that I won't worry too much if I have to find it somewhere else and re-transcode it.
I need to get my arse into gear and actually source those 2 wireless NAS drives I have been thinking about getting for over a year..... right after I finally finish fitting my gun cabinet in my attic.
I am the worst procrastinator.
I have no guns.
Now, knives and swords...
I shot my first firearm (a revolver) when I was three. I own a .410 bore shotgun, a 12-gauge shotgun, a Beretta 92, and a .22 rifle. I hate being anywhere near guns (despite being the best shot in my family), but I was brought up in the south. You're expected to own firearms in the south, and you're expected to want to acquire more than you already have.
I was semi-forced to buy one or two of the above with my own money. I could have bought comics with the dough I was made to waste on them. I could have spent the time I was made to go through the classes to earn my hunting permit on any number of cool things. But no!
I suppose I've inherited even more, now that my grandfather is dead.
Alabama!
That's where I left all that shit, by the way. I'm sure as shit not taking it with me when I go back to St. Louis in July.

You don't even own *a* gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire cabinet.
You're the best shot in the family, except for Jed, Grannie and Ellie Mae.

That's the rules for gun ownership in the UK.
1) get gun cabinet and install it.
2) have it inspected by police firearms officer who tries to break into it.
3) with police OK, apply for your licence.
4) licence allows you to buy gun from dealer.
My criminal record inhibits me from (legally) purchasing a firearm in Canada.
Which is probably a good thing. I guess.
I am getting a sports shotgun for shooting clays, nothing fancy or too 'survivalist' but still handy for the forthcoming zombie apocolypse!
Those damn Clays, they need to fuck off back to where they came from......
....Pottery Barn?

I downloaded some Harry Langdon movies and Satantango. I also downloaded the ThunderCats' "Anointment" arc and G.I. Joe: Arise, Serpentor, Arise!
