I am wading into my Xmas gift BluRay pile.
Captain America first, then Super 8. Maybe Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes if not sleepy.
Unleash the Merlot!!

I'm rather nervous about the direction they're taking it. This really feels like the final season, and given the events of episode 1, I really hope it is.
They should have the ghost bite the werewolf and turn him into a ghost werewolf. That would be fucking sweet.
Oh balls, missed this before I started new thread. As they say in Spartacus - 'Apologies'
The fact that there's a ghost in this show proves the existence of god.
Saw The Woman in Black last night. Much better than I was expecting. Very atmospheric and creepy. The middle section is pretty damn scary. Well done, Hammer!

You mean that section where they do 30 jump-scares in a row?
I was hoping for fewer jump scares--specifically because of the Hammer tag/return-to-classic-horror hype. Jump scares do nothing for me.
I saw "Chronicle" tonght. I thought it was pretty cool. The 'found fotage' look eventually extends to other sources of video, giving the film a 'Marvels' kind of feel as it goes on.
Very awesome movie, I would love follow-up films.
I am watching the first episode of True Blood season IV.
I think I speak for everyone when I say...... What The Fuck?
Episode I of Homeland after it has languished on my Sky box for so long. What the hell took me so long!!
Last night saw "Chronicle" with the spousal unit. It was pretty good, kind of like "Carrie" crossed with the "found video" style (like "Cloverfield"). The characters seemed like how real kids would act if they suddenly got mutant powers, and the SFX were pretty good.
Now watching a DVD of "Memento." Wow, still a great flick.
So I watched Green Lantern. So yeah, it was bad, and yeah, it was filled with those lame attempts to be funny that blockbuster wannabe's are always filled with. A couple of stand-out stupid moments:
1) Carol (officer of the company plus owner's daughter) is all like "Hal, you're late. We should've got the other guy to do this. At least he's reliable. These 2 unmanned drones have been smokin' me all morning." In a nutshell, she's saying they need to bring their AAAAAAA++++++ game. So Hal beats them. And then Carol and dad and everybody else in the company are all like "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?!?!? NOW WE'LL LOSE THE CONTRACT!!! YOU'RE A GODDAMN ASSHOLE!!!" Next time maybe mention that he's not supposed to win BEFORE the simulation? Maybe?
2) Hector Hammond is facing off with Hal GL. Hal GL gives Hector his ring in order to save Carol. Hector uses the ring, but it backfires and knocks him down. Immediately Parallax shows up and he's all like "YOU FAILED ME!" to Hector, then picks up Hector and kills him. Then he picks up Hal and he's all like "YOU'RE NOTHING WITHOUT THE RING!" Oh, you mean that ring that Hector got away from him while he was "failing" you? Fucking dumbass Parallax.
I keep on meaning to watch 'Green Lantern'. I figure it may be awful, but it might be fun anyway. Well, I finally motivated myself to acquire it and begin watching. I'm ten minutes in, and it's pretty bad. Let this be a lesson, Warner Brothers! This is what happens when you don't let Chris Nolan be the godfather for your comic-based movie project! You could've had Zack Snyder directing from a Goyer script!
I've now made it to the eleven minute mark: the smug looks on the faces of the military guys after they think the unmanned planes won the practice aerial battle was hilarious.
I went to SHH to see how people were reacting to the latest Ghost Rider movie. The consensus seems to be that it's not even as good as the first movie, which was about as bad a movie as you can get. So basically it'd be like walking unsuspecting into the movie theater, and suddenly a shit pie whacks you straight in the face while a midget punches you in the balls with brass knuckles.
I kind of want to see the new Ghost Rider. Then again, I think the crank movies are a lot of fun.
I have watched the first episodes of Sherlock and Dead Set. I am pleased with both.

Yup. I knew nothing about it. No ads, no trails, nothing! It's repeated tonight at midnight so I'll record it.
