Jack's not a fan, but watched Season 4 at my coaxing. He liked it enough to sample some of Season 5. (Speaking of, I need to shoot him another eppy via Dropbox.)

Watching Archer, Season One on NetFlix

Forgot to mention that I do like the whole brother sister relationship in Dexter.

Jake's probably a secret serial killer. I would not be surprised.

bah he's not a serial killer. I'd go more with sex offender or stalker or just your run of the mill pervert

Oh, do give me some credit, Omi.

Sadly, I don't think I'm detail-oriented enough to be a serial killer.

When I was a preteen, I was a little obsessed with serial killers.  I even worked out a "routine" for myself, should I ever decide to become one.

I may not have been very well balanced as a child.  Still, I'm at least half convinced most kids dream up serial killer calling cards for themselves.

Saw the broadcast of Danny Boyle's Frankenstein yesterday. Pretty freaking awesome! We saw the version with Benedict Cumberbatch as the Creature and Johnny Lee Miller as Frankenstein. The theater in St. Louis where we saw it is showing the version with Cumberbatch and Miller in the other roles, but I don't think we're going to make it back for that.

Also about to finish watching the first season of HBO's Treme, about life in the Treme area of New Orleans after Katrina. Great cast, can't wait for season 2!

Watching Boardwalk Empire right now. Must be getting near the end now.

Last night I watched Unstoppable on BluRay. I really enjoyed as a very straightforward and effective film. Does exactly what it says on the tin. No pretensions.

What about the total lack of empathy and under-developed emotional centre of the brain? Aren't they also a requirement?

Watched the first episode of Sherlock, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Love it! I think I actually enjoyed it more than Guy Ritchie's film.

I watched Salt. It was a'right. Tried to pull a last second switch and get Piranha (minus the 3D), but Netflix wasn't having it.

Tomorrow I'm getting Tron, despite that it was a ginormous flop. I probably should've posted this 2 weeks ago.

Piranha is a blast as long as brain is disengaged and that part of you that loved 80's exploitation / slasher type horror is re-awakened.

Glad to hear you liked Sherlock KV.  I hope that The Hobbit doesn't keep Martin Freeman too far away from it for very long.

That I've got.
Also, I liked Unstoppable for exactly the reasons you said.

KV, my daughter watched the first episode of Sherlock yesterday as well. She liked it a lot.

Piranha was stupid. And fun. A lot of fun, in fact.

Really enjoyed the 3 Sherlock episodes I saw. Hope they make more, plus Benedict Cumberbatch has the greatest name ever.

I have the Sherlock eps but I haven't watched them yet. Maybe that is what I will do tonight. That is after I watch the most recent Being Human episode 20 more times.

Jake, you do realize that my niece will probably never date an American in her life. You've set her up for constant romantic disappointment.  I can't imagine her accepting anything less than a megalomaniac punk/hipster/well-dressed sarcastic alien librarian physicist with messy hair and a British accent who can't stop fiddling with his own screwdriver.

Did you see it at the Tivoli? Damn, I totally forgot that was happening on Saturday. I was interested in watching that.

Yup saw it at the Tivoli. It is playing again this Saturday at 11am, with Miller as the creature and Cumberbatch as the doctor, so you still have a chance.

Finished watching Sherlock, holy shit! They better get that second series out soon!

Also got caught up on Being Human, looking forward to the season finale on Saturday. So much shit is gonna go down!

Negs, Sherlock will get another 3-episode second series this year.  I think this was announced after Freeman had gotten the role of Bilbo, so I guess they worked out the scheduling.

I watched the first two episodes of Camelot.  It's not bad.  I have some problems with it.  Mostly, I think Arthur looks a bit goofy and Finnes isn't especially convincing as Merlin.  He just doesn't disappear into the role.  On the positive side, Eva Green is great (and she gets her top off at least once an episode), and I like how they're explaining some of the legends, like the sword in the stone).

I'm a bit of a sucker for the multiple versions of Arthurian legend (leaving aside the Sean Connery and Richard Gere atrocity), to the point where I even forgive "Merlin" most of it's goofiness. I hope Camelot makes it over to this side of the pond.  Was it co-produced by anyone?

Yeah...some Canadian outfit.  I thought Camelot was over there as well, though.  Hrrm.
