Me too, well, except for the gay part and the superhot part.

Come to think of it, I am probably the anti-KV.

Because KV is superhot, so if a superhot guy from Missouri added you as a friend, it would likely be KV.  Damn, you're a douche sometimes, Adam.

Watched 16 Blocks last night.  Once I made it through the first painful 15 minutes, it turned into a pretty good little movie.  Whoever made the decision to have Mos Def speak like Mike Tyson should be lynched, but once I learned to block out the nonsense dialogue coming out of his mouth, I really enjoyed the interaction of the other characters.  I <3 Bruce.  Still.  Even looking like a washed-up, alcoholic, gimpy old man.

Watching a movie in my house shouldn't feel like work, but yes, yes it is.

I remember watching that a while ago and being extremely annoyed by his accent also.

I agree as well. It's a shame really, because the character is actually pretty decent, but the accent is grating and makes the dialogue hard to hear.

Piranha 3D in my house tonight.  And copious amounts of vodka.  I think a Piranha 3D drinking game of some kind might be required.

Either that or I need to go to Blockbuster and buy something else.

Despite showcasing the gorgeous Morena Baccarin and the so-hot-I-want-to-touch-her-naughty-bits-right-now Laura Vandervoort, I had to give up on V this week.

Why?  It just got way too fucking stupid.  See, the V's (yes, they even call themselves that when no humans are around), after living in human skin for a while begin to develop emotions.  Anna, the queen lizard, believes this will be the undoing of her species, so seeks advice from original queen bitch, Jane Badler, and her still-impressive rack.  Jane's boobs tell Anna that the emotions come from A SOUL.  Yes, that's right, ladies and gentlemen.  The lizards grow a soul as a result of wearing human skin. WHAT THE FUCK?!

Now, I'm not averse to having religion in my science fiction -- I thought up until the last scene, BSG was fine, but really -- you grow a soul as a side effect of masquerading as a human?  STUPID.

I don't think I've ever asked you this, but how did you feel about the last episode of Lost? Especially with all of it's religious connotations?

Look, Ashes to Ashes ended in a similar fashion to Lost, and I loved it.  It fit perfectly into the tone of both A2A and Life on Mars.  But those shows didn't lie to us or give us mysteries that were touted as important (who really cares about the four-toed statue now?)

Lost S06E01 lied to us by showing the Island submerged under the ocean.  It was like shouting to the audience -- "Hey, look here! Some time after DHARMA came to the Island, it ended up going under!  Wild, huh?!"  And then it turns out that was a lie and everyone was already dead!  I don't care about what happens to these characters AFTER THEY FUCKING DIED!  With LoM and A2A, the possibility always existed that they were in some sort of purgatory or in their imagination or something, so going in, you have that possibility.  Now, if it came to pass on either of those shows (the UK versions, mind) that they ended up on some sort of spaceship and it was just a dream, it wouldn't have worked and would have been a cop out (but that did work, IMO, for the US version because of little clues throughout the season).  Aside from some good performances, the last season of Lost was a collosal waste of time.  I was sure it was going to be one series I absolutely was going to buy the uber and super-cool complete series box set for.  I mean, there was no way they could make their ending suck as bad as the last few minute of BSG.  This was Lost, and somehow, even with not really buying in to the Man in Black being "bad," or his leaving the Island as being "disastrous," I was sure these guys would explain things and somehow we'd have a satisfying conclusion.  Even a lackluster ending, I though, wouldn't deter me from wanting the whole series.  Guess what?  The Lost team found a way to make me hate the show.

I didn't have that much of a problem with the ending of BSG. It pretty much left me where I needed to be after the four seasons. The more I think about it.... I still don't have an issue with it. Am I not getting something?

Re : V. I have only seen up to the end of S1 due to broadcast delays but similarly, call me an old romantic, but I don't have that much of an issue with (at least) the idea that it is the encounter with humans that brings out the doubt in these invading aliens. Isn't that kinda cool? That no matter what kind of c**t we are, we are naturally better than those nasty bastards??

Wait, now I'm trying to remember the last few minutes of BSG. Did you hate the revealing of the final five or the settling of Earth II? Or is there something there I'm not remembering?
