Weird you should say that, I usually save them for when I make the long boring drive out to my parents house and it just makes it fly by.
I suppose if I'm ever up late I'll give it a live listen, but they don't start until...I think midnight or 1 AM my time, so there's no way I'd ever make it through a whole show. They featured Tina's terrible singing on the podcast maybe 6-8 months ago. It still cracks me up when I think about the others coming in like a barbershop quartet, only to have her at the end completely butchering it. :D
"That's from Toby Lerone...he's been texting in a lot lately, hasn't he?"
Not to mention his friends T. Wix and Taffy Crisp. Ha! Great stuff.
I thought when they go out on Sirius they go out at breakfast time in the territory they are being broadcast in? I had Sirius in the hire car I had to drive from Miami to the Keys a couple of years back and couldn't get the damned thing to work!
There is also "Listen Again" on the BBC homepage but not sure if that works in the US.
Well yeah, but I don't have a Sirius radio yet. :)
AHHHH!!! But I just checked the Radio 1 site, and I actually can use the listen again option!!!!! Woo hoo!
And I see it's Toby Le Rone. I apologize for spelling it wrong. :P
Apology not accepted.
Watched Despicable Me. Wasn't as good as I thought it would be, and you could really tell on some scenes where they were pushing the 3D. Of course, watching the disc on a regular laptop, those scenes seemed forced and unneccessary. I think I liked How to Train Your Dragon more.
Watched the silent film "Wings", the first picture to receive the "Best Picture" Oscar. Geez, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
I also (kind of) watched the Grammys and the Baftas. I am shocked, shocked I tell you, that The King's Speech pretty much swept the Baftas. Shocked! Also, is it just me, or does Tom Hooper really look like a young James Cameron?
Omicron, I watched Despicable Me a few weeks ago and was also not impressed, except for Jason Segal. I thought his voice over was exceptional in this movie.
Actually, I enjoyed it much more the second time I saw it. I was underwhelmed the first time, too.
New BBC show called "Outcasts". Sci-fi, set amongst colonists on a new planet. Seems OK so far. Will let you know how it develops. 4 or so episodes on the Sky+ box to wade through.
I was watching Fairly Legal only because Sarah Shahi is extremely hot. Now, my DVR is almost full and she isn't clad in revealing clothes nearly enough. Looks like it is getting dropped.
I watched the first episode of Outcasts. I'll try to get to the second one today. It reminded me a bit of Survivors (the remake, at least). I enjoyed the first series of that well enough, but never finished it because I just kind of stopped caring about the characters. That's kind of where I see Outcasts headed.
The entire Atlantic Ocean in the way, and you still manage to watch UK shows before me.
As long as it is a "happy finish" then who are we to begrudge him that?
I liked Outcasts quite a lot, but am only a couple of episiodes in so it still has time to go badly wrong.
Super-Friends.
I started watching my series set of Farscape this weekend. It's bringing back that fresh sense of SyFy Channel hatred.
Saw Bernadette Peters in concert Saturday night in Louisville. I may be gay, but seeing her perform "Fever" whilst lying on a piano in a shimmery high/low cut dress with just a bass and drums as backup was one of the hottest things EVAH (she's 62. Sixty-fucking-two!!)!! Also, randomly, the guy playing the drums was Cubby from the original Mouseketeers, whom she met on the Carol Burnett show.
She still has a nice rack.

"Discriminated against for being Swiss, it happens like Clockwork!"
The podcast is all (their) best bits of the week, but if you listen to the show live you will hear all the other stuff, like being constantly late for the news, winding Dom up about knowing nothing at all about weather despite being the weather guy, Tina being the worst singer in the world, getting in trouble for never playing any records. The song parodys are worth a laugh too.
As I said, I frequently end up having to use real effort to stifle laughter on the train when I listen to it. Had a nightmare drive down to Dorset a few months ago with a full car, and we just played the latest 3 podcasts back to back and everyone in the car was in hysterics in places. Journey just flew by in the end.
