What Games Do You Want This Fall?

Posted by Strider on Monday, August 17, 2009

Despite many high profile delays into early 2010, this fall is still chock full of big game releases. What titles are you looking to get, and what titles are you hoping will be good?

Personally, I have to get Assassin's Creed 2 because I absolutely loved the first game. The second one looks to improve upon it, so I have no hesitations about picking it up day one.

Other than that, I'll probably get a couple other games that I am interested in which include Halo: ODST, Modern Warfare 2, Alpha Protocol, Dragon Age: Origins, Brutal Legend, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and The Saboteur.

I am definitely looking forward to Modern Warfare and Bad Company.

Modern Warfare 2 is the one that I am most looking forward to the most. I've been playing Call of Duty 4 nearly every day for the past 2 months to try and get my ranking higher.

Left 4 Dead 2 is another must buy.

No matter where you go, there you are.

yeah, I am currently playing COD:WaW almost daily. I even did something I said I'd never do and bought the map packs for it :)

I am seriously considering getting Brutal Legend, even though I am not fond of Jack Black.

I have Brutal Legend, and I've been playing it the last couple days. If you like heavy metal at all, it's worth checking out. Jack Black is reigned in to an appropriate degree, the enemy/landscape designs are imaginative, roaring through the countryside in the hot rod is a blast, there are a lot of funny lines of dialogue, and they even got Ozzie Osbourne to sound coherent.

If you enjoyed the demo at all (play it if you haven't yet), you should like the full game. At the very least, I say to give it a rental.

WOOT! Fallout:New Vegas is set to release this fall
Updates of Fallout:New Vegas including a clip!

Gonna be built with the FO3 engine, so it should look great. Not really a sequel, but should be in the same world/timeline. Due out fall 2010, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it pushed back.

Skipping the entire year to get back to fall are we? ;-)

I guess we'll see if Obsidian can make as good a game as Bethesda did with FO3. I bought the GOTY edition of the game a few weeks ago, so I've still got a ton of Fallout 3 to get through. I'll probably get back to it once I've gone through Mass Effect 2.

does the GOTY edition come with all the DLC? I've thought about getting some of the better ones since FO3 is actually one of the few games I played through to finish :)

Yes, the Game of the Year version of Fallout 3 includes a second disc with all the DLC on it. I got it when it was on sale around Christmas for $30 (along with Metroid Prime Trilogy for $20).

Call of Duty:Black Ops looks interesting. Made by the same studio that did COD:WaW I believe.

Yep, Treyarch is making CoD: Black Ops.  The trailer looks pretty good.  I'm sure we'll see more of it at E3 in a couple weeks.
