The first Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie was instantly forgettable; it was the TV series that followed that actually gave this franchise a second chance at life. In its seven year run the Buffy TV show developed an extremely loyal fanbase and also shot the career of Joss Whedon into the sky. But does a new Buffy project have a chance to stand on its own without Whedon's involvement and the possible non-support of his fans? That, dear reader, is the $64,000 question.
