In a story mentioning Diliberti and Sullivan's hiring to write the screenplay for a remake of Brewster's Millions, The Hollywood Reporter mentions that the production film of Principato-Young Management is producing the Comic Con screenplay and New School Media (who also represents the two writers) is onboard as an executive producing entity. THR also says that the duo landed their Brewster's assignment from the buzz generated by their Comic Con buddy comedy.

Production Weekly made a tweet about a new script being written by Michael Diliberti and Matthew Sullivan called Comic Con. As described by the outlet, "To save their beloved neighborhood comic shop from the clutches of an evil corporate takeover, a justice league of comic geeks must plan and execute a daring heist [at] Comic-Con." Brian Levy is mentioned as a producer on the project.
