After suffering two earlier reschedulings of its release date, Screen Gems has once again pushed back the release of Priest, now almost one year into our future. The studio has now circled May 13, 2011 as the movie's new release date.

Stephen Moyer and Lily Collins have been added to the cast of Priest. Moyer, who plays vampire Bill Compton on HBO's True Blood, will play the human brother of Cam Gigandet's sheriff while Collins (a 90210 cast member) will play the kidnapped niece of the hero.

After playing Star Trek's Dr. McCoy, Karl Urban will now play the main villain of Priest. Urban's character is called Black Hat and is described as a former priest and vampire hunter who has now turned evil and considers himself a living god.
The first day of filming is next week.

Maggie Q (Mission: Impossible III, Live Free or Die Hard) has joined Paul Bettany and Cam Gigandet in Priest. Her character is described as a priestess who accompanies Bettany's priest and Gigandet's sheriff into the heartland of vampires to rescue the priest's niece.
