The Terminator franchise needed a tune-up and from all appearances its getting a decent one. We've got newly-minted action superstar Christian Bale playing the adult John Connor; the action now takes place in the apocalyptic future barely glimpsed in the earlier trilogy; and the makers of Terminator Salvation are shaking up things by introducing new Terminator models and throwing a monkey wrench into the series' time travel paradox storyline. All these ingredients suggest to us that T4 doesn't need Arnold Schwarzenegger to say I'll be back.
