Jaimie Alexander, the actress who plays the Asgardian warrior Sif in the Thor movies, tweeted about a potentially serious on-set accident that she sustained two days ago while filming the Thor sequel.
"Today I sustained a pretty horrible injury. I'm lucky I'm not paralyzed," she tweeted to her fanbase. "Thank you (with all of my heart) to those who've looked after me."
Alexander didn't elaborate on what her accident was, or what sort of injuries she sustained. However, the day after she was back on the social network and feeling better.
"Already in recovery mode and my spirits are high. I'll be back kicking ass as Lady Sif in no time! It can only get better from here on out!"

A whole whack of spy photos showing Chris Hemsworth, Jaime Alexander (Sif) and several dozen other extras filming an exterior battle sequence for Thor: The Dark World have popped up online.
The photos appear on Coming Soon, The Daily Mail and Just Jared, and show the actors rehearsing and then filming the staged fight. Judging from the long-distance shots, it would appear that whatever it is being filmed is a major action sequence. Several of the extras are wearing different battle armor than the Asgardian suits we've seen before. Could this be the dark elf army we've been hearing reports of?

Kat Dennings will reprise her role as Darcy Lewis in the Thor sequel. While Dennings' astrophysicist character didn't have much screen time in the first Thor movie, it's being reported that Darcy will be given an expanded presence in the second movie. Likely this beefed-up screen time is due to Dennings starring in one of television's most-watched sitcoms, 2 Broke Girls.
