First look at HBO's The Pacific

HBO has scheduled to air The Pacific sometime in 2010, its 10-part mini-series depicting the western fight against imperial Japan during World War 2. Similar to the well-received Band of Brothers, The Pacific is also executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.

However, instead of choosing to tell the story of a platoon of soldiers the way Band of Brothers did it The Pacific will instead focus on just three main characters, all Marines.

The first trailer for the mini was just released by HBO and it makes The Pacific look like it will be epic.
