WB Games' Watchmen: The End is Nigh was released today and is now available for download on Microsoft's Xbox Live and Sony's PSN networks as well as for the PC. Developed by Deadline Games, the third-person action title lets you play as either Rorschach or Nite-Owl II during the height of their partnership in the 1970s, before superheroes were outlawed in the Watchmen universe.
The two heroes come together to recapture Underboss, who has escaped from prison and is once again tightening his control over New York City's underbelly. The game has six chapters and each hero has their own signature moves and fighting style. Up to 20 enemies can be squaring off against you at any given time. Solo play, split-screen or multiplayer game modes are supported.
Watchmen: The End is Nigh will cost you 1600 Microsoft Points to purchase or about $20 if you only deal in dollars. The game has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB.
Want to see the game's opening cinematic? Of course you do, and when you're watching it you'll know that the voices of Nite-Owl and Rorschach were provided by Patrick Wilson and Jackie Earle Haley, the same actors that portray the characters in the movie.
