August 2, 2012 - Thor: The Dark World / Christopher Eccleston cast as villain

British actor Christopher Eccleston, perhaps best known to American audiences for playing the Ninth Time Lord in BBC's Doctor Who reboot, has landed the part of The Dark World's main villain. Thor's bad guy is also now known, and he will be Malekith the Accursed, the ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, one of the Nine Realms of Asgard.
