July 31, 2011 - The Wolverine / villain will be the Silver Samurai

While attending the San Diego Comic-Con, Hugh Jackman addressed a question about who his on-screen nemesis will be in the next Wolverine picture. "I'll fight the Silver Samurai in it so that should be exciting," the actor said.

Introduced in the early 1980s as an adversary for the hero, The Silver Samurai is a skilled samurai warrior who is also a mutant. His power is to create a field that can surround any object, making it virtually indestructible and deadly. This power gives the samurai's swords an extra edge against his opponents.

Jackman also indicated that the plan is to start filming The Wolverine in October.
