Reese Witherspoon is producing and attached to star in a new comedy project called Pharm Girl. The Legally Blonde actress would play the film's central character, a newly hired executive working for an international pharmaceutical company. As she rises through her firm's ranks she sees more of the darker underbelly of how big pharma operates.

Bad Santa screenwriters Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are negotiating to direct the film from their screenplay. Witherspoon's Type A production company is developing the project for Universal Pictures. [Full story]
