October 13, 2011 - Thor 2 / release date changed

November 15, 2013 is the new release date for Thor 2. Moved from its July summertime berth, this new date is wide open and without any competition (yet).

I would think more studios would move their tentpole movies out of the summertime, where it's basically one big week and then you're ousted by whatever's coming out the next weekend. Now that the Harry Potters are done, November seems like a solid month to use instead.
