It's about love, man!
That and beating the shit outta people until they burst into quarters!
Finally saw The Fighter this weekend. Pretty by-the-numbers flick, but very well done. All the performances were great, really felt like we were watching real people rather than actors playing parts.
Just finished watching Hot Tub Time Machine. It was mildly amusing and had a few laughs. Wasn't as good as I thought it would be.
I haven't seen anyone mention it in a thread, but am I the only one watching Lights Out? It stinks of a knock-off of Rocky (the one where he comes back from Russia and loses all of his money, is that Rocky 5?), but since I liked Rocky (previous movies, not so much the one I just mentioned), I am mildly enjoying this.

Yes, but Don Draper's fiancee shows us her boobs.

Jakester's got it on his DVR, but he'll delete it soon.
I've been watching "Lights out"
Seems pretty good so far, I really like the main actor/character. I agree with it being pretty derivative of Rocky, though i'm feeling more "Rocky Balboa." So far it just feels solid, i'm getting strong "Terriers" vibe off of it which means it's going to end up being really awesome and then cancelled.
I won't tell Adam54 to watch this Lights Out show that you're really, really digging and recommending to everyone here to watch. In fact, I won't even mention Lights Out at all, and especially I won't mention Lights Out to Adam54, in case Adam54 decides to tune in and watch Lights Out.
Adam, check your inbox for an email about Lights Out from Quasar.
Last Boy Scout. It's finally lost some of its luster for me. The one-liners weren't old when this movie was released, and the over-the-top bad guys with bad hair and silly plans.... ouch. It has potential to be a decent movie, even by today's standards, but some of the camerawork looked like home video footage and much of the dialogue was reminiscent of a conversation between 15 year olds who'd just learned the word "fuck". It was mostly fun, but it brought back the awful fashion choices of the early nineties and put Halle Berry on my screen, which is never good.
Yeah, but the "Touch me again and I'll kill ya!" bit is still the mutt's nuts!
'The Reef'
As somebody who sails and scuba dives for hobbies, this is a silly thing to do.
I watched the pilot episode of Raising Hope. It made me laugh a lot.
Am now officially bigging up 'The Reef'. That is how you make a movie for $50,000.
....I love Raising Hope.
And have every episode of Lights Out downloaded, but haven't watched a minute yet.
Sorry everybody.
Oh, and I haven't really watched anything today, but I did listen to roughly three hours of Chris Moyles Show podcasts. Sheer radio bliss. Tally-ho, Dalton!
Not watching at the moment, but I am getting ready to write a paper on Legend. It's like i'm being punished for something and I don't know what.
In my mind's eye, I am watching Kah slowly and seductively undress.
Saw "The Fighter" today and really liked it. It was more than the regular underdog sports story, with elements of family drama. The boxing sequences were very well shot, and the acting was superb. Christian Bale totally deserves the Oscar if he gets it--he completely made me forget he was ever Batman, inhabiting his role. Don't think it was the best film of the year, but it was good.

Welcome to the soundtrack to my mornings!!! :)
The "Toby LeRone" from the last couple weeks had me near tears on the drive to work today. Holy shit that was some funny funny stuff, especially when somebody texted in about being discriminated against because he was Swiss...did you catch that on the podcast from this week yet?
I really need to get a satellite radio so I can listen to this on the way to school in the mornings.

Seriously. I get the video game references, dig the visuals, chuckled in places etc. but the whole movie seems to lack point or purpose. It is achingly hip for the purposes of nothing more than being achingly hip. It's all a bit empty.
