Reese Witherspoon is developing a new comedy project at Universal Pictures based on the rough and tumble world of pharmaceuticals. No, it's not Legally Blonde: Poppin' Pills. This new one is titled Pharma Girl and comes from the word processors of Bad Santa writers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.
As was the case with the holiday hit Four Christmases, Witherspoon would also serve as a producer on the film. The storyline focuses on her character landing a job at one of the world's top drug manufacturingl companies. As the new hire moves upward through the ranks of the company's execcutives she begins to see the bigger picture of how the drug companies effect the lives of millions of people dependant on their wares.
Witherspoon is also considering making Used Guys with Ben Stiller over at 20th Century Fox, a supernatural thriller called Bell Witch about the 18th century haunting of the same name and a romantic comedy called Around the World in 80 Dates, also at Universal.
